Nate Fredrick & The Wholesome Boys Bio

Nate Fredrick and The Wholesome Boys are a solid, hardworking honest band. Nate and The Boys can write catchy songs, blend genres together naturally, play as a unit, and perform four part harmonies like the good old days, all the while, retaining that human soul and edge that seems in short supply. There aren’t many situations where Nate & The Boys' music isn't fit to be played. Short of burying one’s favorite animal, this is the type of music that can be played softly on a Sunday with the family or cranked at rowdy outdoor events. What more can be asked of a band that provides the soundtrack to our lives?

Every tale has a beginning, and this story begins one night many moons ago. While running away from the law with a friend, Nate fell off a cliff, injuring himself severely. Due to advanced medical technology, doctors were able to reconstruct his head and face from his ghastly wounds. Over the next two years Nate began to write and play his own songs (singing through a wired shut jaw, mind you), and in 2015, he moved from Springfield, MO to Nashville, TN. Nate quickly infiltrated the high pedigree of singer-songwriters in town, and slowly amassed a collection of more than a hundred written songs. 2021 rolled into frame and Nate cut his introductory solo album Different Shade of Blue with Nashville super session musician David Dorn at the helm as producer. With the release of Different Shade of Blue, there came a new level of success for Nate’s career and new opportunities began to open for him.
